PROJECTION MAPPING
Les Nocturnes De SCAD
A 3-week summer program of night live projections on the buildings of the Lacoste village in France.
Fifteen students from across the world with different majors and backgrounds gathered together at SCAD's idyllic medieval location situated in the south of France to collaborate on a mystical and never-before-seen immersive experience. Students were first introduced to the four different sites that would display their projections followed by researching and collecting information from observing the environment around them. Research included collecting sounds and photographing visuals from the endless lavender fields, fluttering papillons of Provence, buzzing busy bees, scarlet dipped ripe cherries, rustic architecture and cobbled paths leading to sparks of creativity amongst the talented students.
With the support and guidance of Professor John Colette and Professor Mat Van Ryn, they constructed custom structures for securing the projectors and precisely prototyping and mapping onto each surface that would display pieces running across the span of three months. They ensured the entire process ran smoothly from ideation, to creation and finally execution.
Intimo by Aura DJ Sets
A 5-week long projection mapping project for senior studio class,
which required collaborating with DJs to bring a visual-audio
experience.
The process follows making of pre-mades and VJ loops, to projection mapping at the site and live VJing to the DJ set.
Detailing my creative process, I have attached a process book documenting the set up, pre-production, softwares I used and the live workflow to achieve the results.
The Artist's Awakening
